COVID-19 is the worst situation ever to strike the travel industry, which in 2020 employed over 330 million people worldwide and gave purpose to many small communities that would disappear otherwise.
It poses a tremendous peril for the tourism structure and will, unfortunately, leave many small suppliers and providers in its wake.
The ease to travel during the past couple of years has created a lot of criticism worldwide, however. Over-tourism, one of its results, oversaturated many areas. Visitors who used to be welcomed with open arms turned into a threat to nature and culture for many destinations.
Although the situation is heartbreaking and frustrating for us and many others in the tourism-industry, it also presents an opportunity to look inward and see how we can become better and allow our clients to travel with more purpose in the future.
We currently work with many clients whose travel plans have been affected by COVID-19. We are also helping clients plan vacations for later this year or 2021.
