What can I do to protect Jamaica and make it a better place?
Wearing sunscreen while swimming in the Caribbean Sea damages Jamaica’s reef. Please either use “reef safe” sunscreen or wear a sun shirt while snorkeling. Many resorts have banned plastic straws and are now using paper straws. Take it a step further and bring a reusable straw. If you would like to give back to the community while in Jamaica, ask us how! Respect Mon! is how Jamaican’s say thank you. Please be respectful when you enjoy Jamaica’s hospitality.
What should I wear?
Day wear is casual. Lightweight cotton clothing and swimwear are perfect. Nightlife is popular and many resorts offer gourmet restaurants. For these occasions cocktail attire is required. If you plan on any activities, we recommend packing a pair of water shoes.
